Cargo Tank Testing, DOT Inspections & R-Stamp Repair | Bismarck, ND
Certified Fleet Compliance, Code Welding, and Tank Modifications
At BEP Petroleum & Tank, we understand that down-time costs you money. We have three Registered Inspectors on-site to handle your complete cargo tank testing, DOT compliance inspections, certified pressure vessel modifications, and bulk storage tank repairs. By keeping your inspections, certifications, and structural changes under one roof, we fast-track your compliance and get your equipment back in service.
National Board R-Stamp Certified Welding
We are a fully certified National Board R-Stamp repair facility. When the pressure boundary of a cargo tank or industrial pressure vessel is affected, standard commercial welding shops cannot legally touch it. Our team follows strict National Board Inspection Code (NBIC) and ASME standards to perform:
Structural Code Welding: Certified repair and alteration work on tank shells, heads, and piping systems.
Corrosion Restoration & Crack Repair: Splicing and reinforcing fatigued, pitted, or damaged metal surfaces.
Nozzle & Fitting Replacements: Precision fitting modifications to maintain complete pressure integrity.
Complete DOT Cargo Tank Inspections & Testing
Federal regulations require commercial cargo tanks to undergo routine testing [ctrl46] to remain in service. Our on-site Registered Inspectors are fully qualified to perform and certify the complete array of V-K-I-P-T-UC compliance tests:
V – External Visual Inspection: Required Annually
K – Leakage Test: Required Annually
I – Internal Visual Inspection: Required Every 5 Years
P – Pressure Test: Required Every 5 Years
T – Thickness Test: Required Every 2 Years
UC – Upper Coupler Inspection: Required Every 5 Years
Commercial Pump Maintenance & Meter Calibrations
A malfunctioning pump or inaccurate delivery meter slows down your route and costs your business revenue. At BEP Petroleum & Tank LLC, we service and calibrate the critical fluid transfer systems that keep fuel and LPG delivery fleets operating accurately.
Our shop handles everything from routine system troubleshooting to complete component rebuilds for the industry's leading heavy-duty brands, including Blackmer industrial pumps.
Meter Calibrations & Programming: Complete mechanical repairs, electronic register setups, and volumetric certifications for Liquid Controls (LC) meters and LCR registers.
Flexible Service Options: Schedule a liquid volumetric prover certification right here in our Bismarck shop, or arrange for our mobile technician to handle your fleet calibrations directly at your bulk storage terminal.
Stationary Bulk Storage Tank Repairs & Maintenance
In addition to our over-the-road trailer services, we provide ongoing repair, cleaning, and maintenance for stationary bulk storage tanks at regional fuel terminals, bulk plants, and agricultural facilities.
Our mobile technician handles on-site storage tank modifications, tank cleaning, structural upkeep, and emergency valve replacements to keep your storage infrastructure operational.
Custom Tank Trailer Modifications & Conversions
When your transport requirements change, you don't have to buy entirely new over-the-road equipment. Our experienced code welders alter and re-certify cargo trailers to maximize your fleet's investment:
Tank Barrel & Product Conversions: We perform safe, certified conversions to shift your trailer into a high-demand application (e.g., Anhydrous Ammonia to Propane/LPG, or chemical units to vacuum tank service).
Commercial Trailer Chassis Stretching: We cut, extend, and structurally reinforce your existing trailer frame to add extra barrels of carrying capacity while ensuring complete tracking alignment and compliance.
